Citytech experience in Magento:

We have extensive  experience in Magento customization. We have done the following customizations for a recent project.

Project details

• Allow custom fields during registration and checkout process
  We would need to be able to add custom fields either to the checkout process and the registration form. Such fields would include simple text entry, checkboxes, dropdowns, radio, etc. The administrator of the shopping cart must be able to add/delete them at any time.
• Ability to track orders by Purchase Order numbers that the customer enters (part of custom fields)
  Basically we would like to track order by two numbers. One of the numbers is the Magento generated number for each order. The second number is the "purchase order #" that the customer enters during checkout. Also, both the customer and the administrator must be able to search by either number to find the correct order.
• Checkout options based on user group/type
  Certain users will be part of certain groups. For example, user 1 and user 2 are part of group A. Group A is only allowed to check out using Credit cards. User 3 is part of group B. Group B can only checkout with "on credit" or pay in cash.
• Custom Incremental quantities per product (to reflect products on a pallet)
  Customers can only order in certain quantities of each product. Those quantities need to be setup per product. For example Product 1 can only be ordered in quantities of 4, 8, 12, 16, etc. Product B can only be ordered in quantities of 10, 20, 30, 40, etc. It should be a dropdown box where the customer can choose.
• Minimum purchase quantity
  I suppose if the incremental quantity is implemented then the minimum quantity for Product A would be 4. But the minimum should also be available for products that do not have incremental quantity increases.
• Customer login before viewing any products
  The customer must log in before they can see the product details or the prices.
• No self registration
  Customers cannot register themselves. The administrator will setup their accounts in the backend.
• Multiple shipment warehouses (to calculate shipping based on warehouse location)
• Allow customer to offer price on products
  For each product, have a button "suggest price" which would lead to a form that the customer can send out with their offer price to one of the sales people.
• Category access based on user group/type
  Certain categories can only be accessed by certain groups. For example, group A can access the Books and Movies categories, but Group B can only access the Movies category.
• Per user group/type discounts based on product/category
  Each user group is going to have their own pricing. Thus, when the customer logs in, they will see their pricing.

In the home page customer have to log in to view the product details. Only newest product can be display on the home page
